The Birla Open Minds International Schools (BOMIS), firmly reiterate and restore what Tagore called the hallmark of childhood - 'joy of learning' and 'the creative spirit'. BOMIS believes in the uniqueness of each child thereby fostering holistic development through integrated learning opportunities. Our philosophy is based on the constructivist approach, where the learners are actively involved in their learning in a democratic environment. Learning experiences are interactive and student-centric, progressing from known to unknown, concrete to abstract and local to global. A learner at BOMIS develops global perspective and life skills to help and excel in his or her desired field.

Birla Open Minds International School at Kattal Brahmana is a unique school community that works in collaboration with students and parents to provide quality education in a positive and supportive environment. The school achieves this goal by creating and implementing a world class curriculum which ensures that children are healthy, safe, disciplined, engaged, supported, challenged and prepared for the rigors of the current century. As the Principal of the school, I consider myself fortunate to be a part of an educational institution where every contributor is a learner and every day is an opportunity to discover, create and innovate. We look at ourselves as a coterie of learners, where everyone learns including our staff, students and parents. We as a school dedicate ourselves to igniting the curiosity and creativity of our students at an early age. The way a child connects to and engages with his or her first academic institution is critical; it lays the foundation for all future educational encounters. We introduce children to school in a gentle and respectful way, treasuring and protecting the individuality of each child. We give a lot of importance to make discipline a core value, encourage students to develop a sense of responsibility through a well-planned academic schedule, various Inter School competitions, Sports and cultural activities. A large part of a child's active life is devoted in the school. However, every child gets his/her emotional stability from parents. It's the parent's attitude that a child absorbs, the interest and time that parents invest in children is crucial for the development of their ward. We feel blessed of a dedicated team of teachers, administrative staff, and above all cooperative, concerned parents.
