SKILL HUB Launch under The Skill Hub Initiative (PMKVY) at Birla Open Minds International School, Kollur, Telangana
We are happy to announce Birla Open Minds International School, Kollur, Hyderabad, Telangana, has successfully launched its Skill Hub on 21 st April, 2022 under The Skill Hub Initiative (SHI) under PMKVY. This initiative is facilitated by CBSE and implemented by Birla Open Minds and aims at creating shared infrastructure, aligning with the needs of the local economy and addressing the needs of all target segments for vocational training. The launch of the Skill Hub is our first step towards Integrating Skills and Education for a New India.
Birla Opens Minds Schools implementing CBSE Skill Hub Initiative under PMKVY
We are happy to announce that Birla Open Minds Schools are a part of CBSE Skill Hub Initiative under PMKVY - Integrating Skills and Education for a New India. This initiative aims at creating shared infrastructure, aligning with the needs of the local economy and addressing the needs of all target segments for vocational training. BIRLA OPEN MINDS with its 10 Birla Open Minds International School will implement the Skill Hub Initiative for through Setting up Lab (Virtual and Physical) for skill training, Mobilization, Trainer Recruitments, E-content and Learning resources through NSQF aligned Courses, Assessment/ Evaluation, Skill Lab Audit, Quality Assurance and Guidance, Performance Report and Positive Reinforcement, Life skills, soft skills and Personality Development and Placements. This initiative is being taken forward with Adult learners, School Dropouts (Class 6th –12th) , Youth , Out-of-school candidates and Children in the vicinity of school.
Sterlite Copper inaugurated a skill development center in collaboration with Vedanta Foundation and Birla Open Minds Education Pvt Ltd at Tuticorin, Tamilnadu
The inauguration was covered by various newspapers such as Equity Bulls & Auto Components India.
The center in Thoothukudi will offer courses focusing on 5 trades, namely, Sewing machine operator, Welding, Electrician, Logistics - Inventory clerk, and Food Processing, which have been identified as priority areas via the Skill Gap Assessment Report of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
